Teaching Sailing to City Kids | Winds of Hope

For The Salvation Army and the Willamette Sailing Club in Portland, OR, sailing isn’t just about teaching kids the fundamentals of a particular sport, but rather helping to equip them with the tools and character to make a positive impact upon themselves and their community. The club extends the opportunity to take up sailing to kids within the local community, with an emphasis on teamwork, leadership, confidence building, and of course, sport. Watch how passionately the kids have embraced the sport, and how the program has impacted them, then hit share if this resonated with you!
